Architectural Design Manager / Building Design Consultant

About the Role
We are seeking a commercially driven Architectural Design Manager / Building Design Consultant to lead architectural design development, building design coordination, and project delivery across a range of commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architectural design development from concept design through detailed design and project delivery.
Develop and coordinate building design solutions that meet project requirements, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Prepare, review, and manage architectural drawings, specifications, design documentation, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
Provide architectural and building design advice to support project feasibility, planning, approvals, and construction.
Review design proposals, materials, construction details, and technical solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
Manage design coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, interior, and other technical disciplines.
Support project teams in resolving design issues, technical challenges, and construction-related architectural matters.
Monitor project progress, design changes, quality standards, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress, design implementation, and compliance with approved drawings.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Mentor and coordinate architectural and design team members to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Building Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in architectural design, building design, architectural consultancy, or related construction industries.
Strong experience in commercial, residential, mixed-use, or large-scale building projects.
Solid understanding of architectural design principles, building regulations, construction methods, and technical documentation.
Proficiency in architectural design and documentation software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar platforms.
Strong design coordination, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience working with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and other project stakeholders.
Strong understanding of the design development process from concept through construction documentation and project delivery.
Experience with planning approvals, building permits, technical submissions, or construction coordination is highly valued.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and design requirements.
Professional architectural registration or relevant industry certification is an advantage.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance design quality, project requirements, cost, and constructability.
