Reliability Manager

Role Description The Reliability Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuity of StarSpaces Lab’s products, services, and operational processes. This role oversees reliability frameworks and metrics across ICT, AgriTech, manufacturing, and service delivery, identifying risks, analyzing failures, and recommending preventive and corrective actions. The Reliability Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement reliability testing, monitoring tools, and incident response procedures. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing system performance data, maintaining reliability documentation and standards, coordinating root-cause analyses, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that align with sustainability and community impact goals.
Qualifications
Experience with reliability engineering or reliability management, including risk assessment, failure analysis, and preventive maintenance planning.
Skills in data analysis and performance monitoring, using metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to track system and process reliability.
Background in operations, process improvement, or quality management, with familiarity in frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams, including product, operations, and community-focused teams in a remote environment.
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, operations management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Experience in ICT, AgriTech, sustainable manufacturing, or social-impact startups is an advantage.
