Role Description The Python Developer Intern role at Weskill is a remote internship position focused on supporting the development and enhancement of training-related software solutions. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will write and test Python code, assist with back-end web development tasks, and contribute to building and maintaining application features. The intern will work with databases, debug issues, and participate in code reviews to improve quality and performance. The role also involves collaborating with mentors and team members, documenting technical work, and learning best practices in software development within an educational technology environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, with a solid foundation in Python.
Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining server-side logic and APIs.
Candidates should possess skills related to Software Development practices, such as version control, testing, and debugging.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Databases, including designing schemas, writing queries, and integrating databases with applications.
Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of web frameworks (e.g., Django or Flask), basic front-end concepts, and an interest in educational technology.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to learn quickly in a remote environment are highly valued.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
