Industry Mentor – AI/ML | Tamil | Part-Time

About The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Industry Mentor to coach and upskill learners in Tamil. This role combines technical mentoring, project reviews, and interview preparation for learners building practical, industry-ready ML solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on AI/ML industry experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts and guide learners effectively.
Role & Responsibilities
Conduct live mentoring sessions and technical office hours in Tamil, covering core AI/ML concepts, frameworks, and industry best practices.
Review learners' code, notebooks, and capstone projects and provide actionable technical feedback.
Guide learners on model selection, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.
Conduct technical assessments, mock interviews, and project reviews to prepare learners for industry opportunities.
Help learners understand real-world AI/ML engineering practices and production considerations.
Collaborate with curriculum and product teams to improve course content and practical assignments.
Track learner progress and maintain mentorship records.
Identify learner challenges and work with the relevant teams to resolve blockers.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
Hands-on experience with Python for AI/ML workflows.
Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Strong understanding of Scikit-learn and ML model evaluation.
Practical experience with AI/ML projects and deployment.
Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, training, or technical coaching.
Strong Tamil communication skills — verbal and written.
Ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts in a simple and practical manner.
Preferred
Familiarity with MLOps and Docker-based workflows.
Experience working on NLP or Computer Vision projects.
Experience conducting technical interviews.
Experience reviewing ML resumes, projects, or portfolios.
Industry experience in building and deploying production-level ML solutions.
