Role Description The Procurement Manager role at OSWAL PUMPS LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in Karnal. The Procurement Manager will oversee end-to-end procurement activities, including identifying requirements, sourcing materials, and ensuring timely availability of components and services to support manufacturing and operations. This role involves evaluating and managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, monitoring inventory levels, and optimizing procurement costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines. The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with production, quality, finance, and logistics teams to align purchasing decisions with project schedules and organizational goals. The role also includes maintaining accurate procurement records, tracking key metrics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
Strong procurement and supplier evaluation skills, with experience in sourcing, vendor selection, and performance monitoring.
Proficiency in contract negotiation and contract management to secure favorable terms, manage risks, and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical skills to assess costs, analyze market trends, and support data-driven purchasing decisions.
Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in pumps, solar products, or related engineering sectors.
Ability to work on-site in Karnal, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; professional certifications in procurement or supply chain are an advantage.
Familiarity with ERP or procurement management systems and basic MS Office proficiency.
