Role Description
The Kitchen Manager at NxtMeal is a full-time, on-site role based in *Dobbaspet (Dobbespet), Bengaluru, stationed at a leading **Manufacturing client facility*. This role oversees daily back-of-house operations, including coordinating food preparation, supervising cooking processes, and ensuring meals meet quality, safety, and presentation standards.
The Kitchen Manager manages kitchen staff schedules, assigns tasks, and trains team members on procedures, hygiene, and equipment use. They monitor inventory levels, support ordering and stock rotation, and help control food costs and waste. The role also involves maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, working closely with operations teams to meet service timelines, and implementing process improvements aligned with NxtMeal’s smart kitchen and AI-driven systems.

Qualifications
•⁠ ⁠Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills to consistently produce high-quality meals.
•⁠ ⁠Candidates should possess knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and Food Quality standards to ensure safe, reliable service.
•⁠ ⁠Candidates should possess Culinary Management skills to supervise staff, manage workflows, and coordinate kitchen resources.
•⁠ ⁠Candidates should possess familiarity with kitchen safety, hygiene practices, and inventory management.
•⁠ ⁠Relevant experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in commercial kitchens, industrial catering, or institutional food service.
•⁠ ⁠Ability to lead diverse teams, communicate clearly, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•⁠ ⁠Comfort using basic digital tools or kitchen management systems; exposure to tech-enabled or central kitchen operations is an advantage.
•⁠ ⁠Formal culinary training, hospitality management education, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
