Senior Developer

As Caysure Digital continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Senior Developer to help improve, maintain and continually develop our products.
The ideal candidate will have a broad technical skillset and experience building and maintaining large-scale business applications. You will be involved in designing, developing and testing new features, supporting our existing applications and helping shape our technical approach.
Our technology stack includes Microsoft Azure, Java and Spring Boot, Lucee 7, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, Cypress and Docker. We also use services including Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory and Azure AI Foundry.
What you will do
Support and develop our existing applications through bug fixes, improvements and new features
Design and develop new functionality based on client and business requirements
Help ensure product features are delivered to the required level of quality
Proactively participate in the full Scrum development lifecycle
Develop and maintain REST APIs and third-party integrations
Contribute to our Java and Spring Boot REST API
Develop and support Azure Functions and other Azure services
Work closely with QA to improve our Cypress automated test coverage
Conduct regular peer code reviews
Support and mentor other members of the development team
Identify and raise technical issues or suggested improvements
Help maintain the quality of our products throughout the development lifecycle
What you will have
At least five years’ commercial software development experience
Experience with Lucee or CFML
Java and Spring Boot experience
Experience building and maintaining object-oriented web applications
Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
Good JavaScript, HTML and CSS knowledge
Experience using Git and Bitbucket
Experience working with Microsoft Azure
Experience working with Docker and containerised applications
A good understanding of secure, maintainable software development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently as part of a remote team
What you may have
Experience with ColdBox, TestBox or MockBox
Cypress or other test automation experience
Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory or Azure AI Foundry
Leadership or mentoring experience
CI/CD experience
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular
Experience working within insurance, claims or document management
