Senior Data Engineer

We’re hiring a 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 with hands-on experience in 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲 to join one of our delivery teams working with a client in the 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿. You’ll build the pipelines, models, and frameworks that move data from raw and messy to trusted and ready to use — at scale, and at the performance th business expects.
𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘆
• Design, develop, and unit-test 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗿𝗼𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗧𝗟/𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 — ingest, transform, load — across multiple sources, packages, processing workflows, dependencies, and check gates.
• Make sure data flows are 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, and 𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀 when they show up.
• Define and design 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, and partner with architects to size the impact of new solution components.
• Implement 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 through dedicated tools or custom frameworks.
• Align with 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 on data availability and transfer, and work side-by-side with analysts and data modelers to clarify requirements and shape efficient designs.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺
• 𝟱+ 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 as an ETL/ELT Data Engineer on complex projects, ideally in 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 and banking.
• Proven hands-on experience with 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗲.
• Proven hands-on experience with PySpark.
• Experience with multiple 𝗘𝗧𝗟/𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 (e.g., ODI, Snowflake, Databricks, dbt Cloud).
• Experience with 𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 (e.g., ODI, Airflow, or similar).
• Comfortable with 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 (GitHub).
• Proven experience working with 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 and 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.
• Advanced understanding of 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
• Solid grasp of 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 and how reports interact with the data layer.
• Sharp 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺-𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 skills.
• Excellent 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, written and verbal — able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
