Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Linux System Administrator role based in Agra. The Linux System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux-based servers and systems to ensure high availability and performance. Daily tasks include monitoring system health, applying security patches and updates, managing user accounts and permissions, and performing regular backups and recovery tests. The role involves troubleshooting system and network issues, providing technical support to internal teams, and documenting procedures and configurations. The administrator will collaborate with other IT staff to improve infrastructure reliability, enhance security controls, and support new deployments and upgrades.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in System Administration and Linux System Administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning of Linux servers.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and assist users and teams efficiently.
Candidates should possess skills related to Network Security to implement and maintain firewalls, access controls, and security best practices.
Relevant experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) and automation tools to streamline routine administrative tasks.
Knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms, and backup/recovery solutions is beneficial.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional certifications in Linux or system administration (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) are an advantage.
