Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings, layouts, plans, and documentation based on engineering, architectural, or project requirements. The role involves translating design concepts and specifications into clear and precise drawings while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project specifications.
Key responsibilities include creating, modifying, and maintaining 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and related drafting tools. You will prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, schematics, and other technical drawings while ensuring dimensions, annotations, scales, symbols, and drawing formats are accurate and consistent.
The role also involves reviewing drawings and design information, incorporating revisions, updating drawing registers, and coordinating technical details with engineers, architects, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You will identify drafting discrepancies, support design coordination, and ensure all drawing changes are properly documented.
You will maintain organized project files, manage drawing revisions, prepare documentation for submissions or construction, and support the development of accurate technical records. The position also requires following drafting standards, project guidelines, and relevant technical requirements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Diploma or technical qualification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field.
Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, drafting standards, dimensions, scales, symbols, and annotations.
Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to create and modify accurate 2D technical drawings.
Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D, Revit, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or other CAD software is an advantage.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
Good understanding of construction, engineering, or manufacturing documentation is an advantage.
Strong organizational and file-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple drawing revisions, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and project teams.
Strong problem-solving and technical drafting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related documentation tools.
