About the Role
Vishra Designs is looking for a Site Engineer with sound knowledge of materials and hands-on experience in managing all stages of interior site execution. The candidate should be capable of coordinating civil works, electrical, plumbing, flooring, false ceilings, painting, and finishing, along with handling both modular furniture and on-site carpentry works.
This role requires strong site coordination, quality control, planning, and documentation skills to ensure projects are executed accurately and within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily site activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
Read working drawings, verify site measurements, and resolve discrepancies with the design team before execution.
Plan and coordinate work sequences, manpower, materials, and contractors to meet project schedules.
Supervise civil, waterproofing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, false ceiling, painting, carpentry, and other interior finishing works.
Coordinate modular furniture production, dispatch, and installation with the in-house factory, ensuring site readiness and dimensional accuracy.
Handle on-site carpentry works, checking materials, joinery, hardware, finishes, alignment, and functionality.
Verify material quality and specifications, monitor consumption, and minimise wastage.
Inspect workmanship at every stage and ensure defects are rectified before subsequent work begins.
Maintain daily progress reports, site photographs, measurement sheets, material records, inspection checklists, and contractor work records.
Document drawing revisions, approvals, site instructions, scope changes, and additional works.
Verify executed quantities and measurements to support contractor bill checks and cost tracking.
Communicate progress, site constraints, delays, and pending decisions clearly; obtain approvals before implementing changes.
Ensure site safety, housekeeping, and protection of completed work.
Prepare snag lists, track rectifications, and maintain final handover documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, or a relevant technical qualification.
3–4 years of hands-on experience in interior site execution.
Good knowledge of construction and interior materials, their applications, execution methods, and quality standards.
Ability to independently coordinate multiple trades and manage daily site requirements.
Practical knowledge of both modular furniture and on-site carpentry execution.
Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and use MS Excel and Word for reporting and documentation.
Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel between project sites.
