Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled BIM Modeler with MEP experience and a strong electrical background to develop, coordinate, and manage accurate 3D building information models. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical system models, ensuring adherence to project standards, and supporting coordination with other disciplines (mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural).
Develop detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems including:
Power distribution
Lighting systems
Cable trays and containment
Fire alarm systems
ELV systems (CCTV, access control, data)
Create and modify models using Revit MEP or similar BIM software
Coordinate electrical models with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines
Perform clash detection using Navisworks or similar tools
Resolve clashes and conflicts in collaboration with other disciplines
BIM Execution Plan (BEP)
Maintain model accuracy, consistency, and quality
Conduct regular model reviews and updates
Manage BIM files, templates, and families
Maintain version control and data integrity
Generate BOQs and schedules from models
Assist engineers with design coordination
Support construction teams with model insights
Participate in project meetings and coordination reviews
Strong communication and coordination abilities
High attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines
Team-oriented with problem-solving approach
Autodesk Revit Certification
BIM / ISO 19650 knowledge
Electrical Knowledge
Power distribution systems
Lighting design basics
Earthing and grounding
Cable routing and load awareness
Familiarity with IEC / NEC standards
BIM Knowledge
LOD (Level of Development)
Clash detection workflows
Model coordination processes
BIM documentation standards
Mandatory: Hands-on experience in Electrical BIM Modeling
Preferred: Exposure to Structural (Steel) and Architectural Modeling
Priority will be given to candidates with multi-disciplinary BIM experience
