Role Description This part-time remote IT Network Engineer role at DigiMark Lt. focuses on maintaining and optimizing the organization’s network infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs; monitoring network performance; and resolving connectivity issues across multiple environments. The role involves implementing and maintaining network security controls, participating in incident response, and applying best practices to protect data and systems. The IT Network Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new projects, document network changes, and ensure reliable, secure access for users. The position requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and effective time management in a remote setting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Network Administration skills, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of network devices.
Candidates should possess solid Network Engineering skills to design, implement, and optimize scalable and resilient network architectures.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills to configure firewalls, VPNs, and security policies, and to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess broad Information Technology knowledge to integrate networking with servers, cloud services, and endpoint systems.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
Experience with common network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP-based monitoring, log analysis, ticketing systems) is preferred.
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and commitment to inclusive, collaborative teamwork are required.
