Role Description
The Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vijayawada. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment at customer locations. Daily activities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing technical issues, and providing timely field service support to ensure equipment uptime and reliability. The role involves documenting service activities, coordinating with internal teams for spare parts and technical guidance, and delivering clear communication to customers regarding service status and equipment usage. The Service Engineer is expected to adhere to safety standards, follow company procedures, and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for medical or electronic equipment.
Experience in field service operations, including on-site visits and customer interaction.
Technical support capabilities, including handling service requests and providing solutions
Maintenance and repair skills for installation, preventive checks, and corrective actions
Effective communication skills for working with customers and internal teams
Diploma or degree in engineering (Biomedical, Electronics, Electrical, or related field)
Ability to travel within the region as required and work independently on-site.
Basic knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements in the medical device sector.
