We're Hiring: Senior Java Backend Tech Lead
Urbanfix IT Services is hiring multiple Senior Java Backend Tech Leads to work on large-scale backend modernization and migration projects for international clients.
If you're passionate about modern Java, microservices, AI-assisted development, and solving complex engineering challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Lead migration of legacy Java applications to Java 17+
Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs
Refactor, optimize, and modernize enterprise applications
Build microservices and integration layers
Drive architecture, code quality, testing, and performance improvements
Collaborate with stakeholders across Europe and North America
Leverage AI tools such as CursorAI and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development
Requirements
8+ years of Java development experience
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, and REST APIs
Experience migrating large legacy Java systems
Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Docker
Excellent debugging and performance optimization skills
Strong English communication skills
Experience working with international teams
Daily use of AI coding tools such as CursorAI, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent
Nice to Have
Kafka or RabbitMQ
AWS, Azure, or GCP
Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Experience in insurance, finance, or healthcare domains
Position Details
Location: Ahmedabad (Hybrid)
