SAP Software Test Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP Software Test Engineer based in United States.
This role supports a mission-critical enterprise transportation and logistics platform built around SAP S/4HANA ERP integration.
You will play a hands-on role in validating complex SAP applications, workflows, integrations, and customizations.
The position focuses primarily on manual testing, with opportunities to contribute to limited test automation initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Working within a SAFe Agile environment, you will help translate requirements into thorough test scenarios and reliable test coverage.
Your work will directly contribute to system quality, stability, and performance across a large-scale enterprise implementation.
The role is remote, supports up to 10% travel within the continental United States, and requires an active Secret clearance.
Accountabilities
Review user stories and functional requirements to identify test scenarios, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and other testing needs.
Design, develop, maintain, and execute test scripts covering SAP Transportation Management (TM), Yard Logistics (YL), Global Track and Trace (GTT), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), workflows, and integrations.
Perform functional testing of SAP modules, customizations, and related functionality within Agile delivery teams operating under a SAFe framework.
Document software defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting details, and expected versus actual results, and track issues through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and maximize test coverage.
Create and maintain detailed test cases, test data sets, traceability matrices, and other testing documentation aligned with Agile practices.
Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, automation capabilities, and overall quality assurance practices.
Support the delivery of scalable and reliable SAP solutions by applying structured testing methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
Active Secret security clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of experience performing manual software testing for large-scale ERP systems.
Proven hands-on experience testing SAP S/4HANA applications, including workflows and system integrations.
Strong understanding of the SAFe framework, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile development practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, edge cases, and potential defects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with technical and business stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Experience with test automation, particularly Tricentis TOSCA and/or UiPath, is preferred.
ISTQB or a comparable software testing certification is desirable.
Experience with ServiceNow Collaborative Work Management (CWM) for Agile test management and defect tracking is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and DevSecOps practices is desirable.
Previous experience supporting federal agencies or Department of Defense customers is preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 10% within the continental United States.

Proposed national salary range of $75,200–$158,100 USD, with final compensation influenced by factors such as location, contract requirements, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
