Role Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic R&D and product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine tool design and be capable of taking ideas from concept through to fully engineered products. This role offers the opportunity to lead design efforts, mentor junior team members, and contribute to building innovative CNC products.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for CNC machine tools
• Create and review detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
• Lead conceptual design and new product development initiatives
• Perform structural analysis and design validation using FEA tools
• Apply DFMA principles to optimize design for manufacturing and assembly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in production, machining, and electronics
• Oversee design documentation, BOM creation, and revision control
• Mentor and guide junior designers or interns as needed
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience in machine tool design is highly preferred
• Proficiency in conceptual design and new product development
• Working knowledge of Solid Edge or similar CAD software
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools
• Familiarity with DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly)
• Experience in team building and handling or willingness to take on leadership
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup environment
Prior experience in a CNC machine tool design or manufacturing company is a plus
