About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer – Telecom with 7+ years of experience in software/telecom testing.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Telecom QA, Mobile Core, end-to-end testing, manual and automation testing, and should be comfortable working with telecom protocols, network traces, APIs, and Java-based automation.
The position is initially offered on a 6-month C2H basis, with an opportunity for full-time conversion based on performance and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test plans, test cases, verification plans, and test scenarios.
Perform manual and automation testing for telecom applications and services.
Conduct end-to-end testing across telecom/mobile-core environments.
Test and validate 2G/3G/4G/5G telecom services and network scenarios.
Work with Mobile Core and Roaming testing.
Analyze telecom protocols and network traces using Wireshark and other protocol-analysis tools.
Work with telecom protocols such as MAP, Diameter, GTPv1/GTPv2.
Perform REST/SOAP API testing using tools such as Postman.
Develop or execute automation tests using Java and Java-based testing frameworks.
Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development/network teams.
Maintain test documentation and defects using Jira and Confluence.
Work with modern application environments involving Microservices and CI/CD.
Participate in testing activities involving AWS/GCP environments where required.
Ensure testing activities align with relevant telecom standards and practices such as 3GPP and GSMA.
Must-Have Skills
7+ years of QA/testing experience
Strong Telecom domain experience
Experience in Manual Testing
Experience in Automation Testing
Good hands-on experience with Java
Experience with end-to-end testing
Knowledge/experience of Mobile Core
Experience with 4G/5G; exposure to 2G/3G is desirable
Knowledge of telecom protocols such as MAP, Diameter and GTP
Experience with Wireshark / protocol analysis / network traces
Good understanding of telecom testing and defect-management processes
Good-to-Have Skills
Telecom Roaming testing experience
SIGOS experience
Quadified or similar roaming-quality/testing tools
REST/SOAP API testing
Postman
Java automation frameworks
Microservices testing
CI/CD

Work Location
Viman Nagar, Pune
The role requires working from the client location 3 days per week.
Employment Model
This is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) opportunity.
Based on performance and client requirements, the candidate may have an opportunity to transition to a full-time position after the contract period.
Compensation: Up to ₹20 LPA, depending on experience, skills, and interview performance.
