Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Description
We are looking for an SDET to build a full suite of automated tests and automate as much of our regression and QA process as possible. You will work with a team of three software developers and one product manager, and alongside QA on our other scrum teams.
What You Will Do
Build and own a full suite of automated tests in Cypress, starting with regression coverage.
Automate as much of the current manual QA and regression process as possible.
Use AI tooling to write, maintain, and triage tests faster, and find new places it can speed testing up.
Keep the framework and CI test runs fast, stable, and easy for developers to contribute to.
Define test coverage with the team's developers and product manager from requirements, before code is written.
Run tests, report defects, and work with developers to resolve them.
Report on coverage, quality, and stability, and share testing practices with QA on other teams.
Requirements
Intermediate-level experience as an SDET or in a similar test automation role.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites in Cypress (or Playwright/Selenium with the ability to move to Cypress).
Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript; C# an asset.
Practical experience using AI tools in a development or testing workflow.
Experience with unit and integration test frameworks such as Jest, xUnit, or similar.
Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
