Business Intelligence Consultant

Onstak Inc. is looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with 5–6+ years of solid hands-on experience in Power BI development, data visualization, reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable BI solutions that transform complex data into meaningful business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
Develop efficient data models, relationships, calculated columns, and measures using DAX.
Build and optimize data extraction and transformation processes using Power Query.
Work with SQL databases to develop queries, stored procedures, and data transformation solutions.
Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
Develop KPI dashboards and analytical reports based on business requirements.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective BI and reporting solutions.
Optimize Power BI reports, datasets, and data models for performance and scalability.
Implement appropriate security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to understand reporting requirements.
Troubleshoot data, reporting, and performance-related issues.
Maintain technical documentation for Power BI solutions and data models.
Qualifications:
5–6+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI.
Strong experience in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
Experience developing complex dashboards, reports, and KPI visualizations.
Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration.
Experience working with large and complex datasets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment.
Experience with Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with Power BI deployment, workspaces, gateways, and administration.
Experience integrating Power BI with cloud and enterprise data platforms.
