Cloud System Engineer (Azure, Windows, Monitoring)- 100% Remote/Direct Hire
Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader is looking an experienced Senior Cloud System Engineer to join their team on a full-time, remote basis. This will be a first shift working hours role. This engineer will design implement hybrid and cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure to support applications operations. They will focus on system performance, scaling, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Utilizing Windows IIS for web services and applications hosted on Windows servers
Completing cloud projects in Azure using various web services such as Azure Monitor, Function Apps, Azure Site Recovery, Front Door, etc. as well as NSG's, ASG's, VNets, Entra ID, etc.
Collaborate with Database and SRE team members ensure smooth operation and integration of systems
Troubleshooting of various infrastructure including Systems, networking, virtualization and cloud issues
Automate various parts of the environment with various languages including PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Monitoring the environment using tools such as Data Dog (configuration, reviewing dashboards, etc)
Research of emerging trends on various technology, tools and AI

Azure cloud engineering experience utilizing web services- migrations, upgrades etc with tools such as Azure Monitor, Logic Apps, Azure Site Recovery, Front Door, Key Vault
Monitoring experience using various tools such as Data Dog, App Dynamics, Solar Winds, Dynatrace, etc- configuration, reporting, vulnerabilities, dashboards
Automation experience utilizing a Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or Ansible
Experience communication with various engineering teams (SRE, DevOps, Release, Database) to ensure smooth project completion and integration
Understanding of DevOps and SRE principles
