Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - (ArcGIS Enterprise / Utility Network) - 100% remote - W2 Contract
Optomi, in partnership with a leading electric utility company, is seeking a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join a growing Enterprise Technology & Innovation organization.
This individual will focus on the AWS infrastructure, DevOps, automation, and deployment processes supporting enterprise GIS platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a strong AWS and DevOps background along with experience working in or supporting GIS/Esri environments.
A major focus of this role will be helping modernize and improve the existing AWS environment, including Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, environment management, automation, and cloud infrastructure optimization. This engineer will also help support efforts to separate existing gas and electric GIS environments that currently share infrastructure and repositories.

Apply Today If Your Background Includes:
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience designing, deploying, and supporting production infrastructure in AWS
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with infrastructure automation, configuration management, and repeatable deployments
Experience supporting complex enterprise applications and cloud environments
Experience with Git-based source control and repository management
Experience troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, deployments, networking, permissions, and application dependencies
Experience working with or supporting GIS/Esri environments such as ArcGIS Enterprise is highly preferred
Experience within the utility, energy, or other infrastructure-intensive industries is a plus
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cloud, infrastructure, development, and GIS teams
