Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: 12 Hours, Days/Nights
Status: Temporary Full-Time (Contract End Date ~ Jan 15, 2028)

Position Summary
Organ transplants are a life-saving treatment for patients with organ failure involving the heart, liver, lung, kidney, pancreas, islet or small bowel. The Multi Organ Transplant Unit provides care to new solid organ transplant recipients and those requiring readmission for related health issues, living donors and pre-transplant liver failure patients.

Current Registration as a Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
Minimum one (1) year general medical/surgical experience required
Excellent interpersonal and decision making skills
Previous transplant nursing experience preferred
Membership in the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario preferred
ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Authorization/certification, care and maintenance in the following: immunosuppressive drug therapy, TPN, PCA, Accuchek, capping off central lines, venipuncture, IV therapy, Peritoneal Dialysis, accessing hemodialysis lines, removal of central lines.
