2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Engineer role is dedicated to developing and implementing secure, end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments. The position involves designing containerization solutions, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and applying GitOps principles to automate software delivery. This role is critical for enhancing the security, scalability, and operational efficiency of the organization's technology solutions.
3. Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure Kubernetes or Docker-based cluster and application lifecycles.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to architect containerized and cloud-native solutions.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure software delivery.
Apply GitOps principles for automated deployment processes.
Integrate DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Manage logs and utilize analytics for system monitoring and optimization.
Use AWS and other cloud platforms to maintain system reliability and security.
Develop secure network configurations and cloud security architecture.
Employ Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies to improve operations.
Support service-to-service communication via Service Mesh solutions like Istio.
Work with version control and automation tools such as GitLab, Ansible, Maven, and Gradle.
Participate in secure, automated software development using CI/CD pipelines.
Stay updated on cloud technologies, security threats, and best practices.
Maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC).
4. Requirements:
3-4 years of experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
Experience developing and implementing end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles.
Proficiency with AWS and cloud technologies.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Networking knowledge.
Experience or awareness of Service Mesh technologies, such as Istio.
Software development experience using CI/CD pipelines.
Strong focus on automation, efficiency, and security.
Skills in log management and analytics tools.
Proficiency with AWS Cloud Services, GitLab, Ansible, Maven, and Gradle.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and testing methodologies.
Ability to prepare architectural diagrams for ATO packages.
Experience enforcing RBAC and ABAC policies at the data level.
Knowledge of RKE2, Apache, Kafka, HDFS, and related applications.
Experience designing and implementing security solutions.
Experience conducting regular penetration testing.
Highly preferred:
Experience writing custom Helm Charts.
Basic knowledge of Big Data.
Multilingual programming skills.
Knowledge of automation languages such as Python or GoLang.
Clearance Requirements:
Active security clearance or higher required.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00
