The Warehouse Associate supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping of HVAC equipment (including rooftop units) and Core materials. This is a hands-on role that keeps inventory accurate and orders moving so that field installation teams have what they need, when they need it.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders, and report discrepancies or damage.
Put away received inventory in designated warehouse and offsite storage locations, maintaining accurate location records.
Pick, pack, and stage outbound orders for shipment based on daily order requests.
Load and unload trucks safely, using material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck) as needed.
Perform cycle counts and support physical inventory audits; help investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Process returns (RMAs) for HVAC and Core products, including inspecting returned equipment and updating status records.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety procedures.
Track and update shipment status for equipment shipped but not yet installed, flagging aging shipments to the team.
Communicate with the Warehouse Lead, Fulfillment Lead, and others on the Budderfly team regarding transaction status, inventory issues, and returns processing.
Support other warehouse and supply chain tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience preferred.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (certification a plus, or willingness to obtain).
Good computer skills; comfort operating within an ERP system or other inventory software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and paperwork.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods throughout a shift.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures, including proximity to HVAC equipment and loading dock areas.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with a large SKU database, with both durable and fragile goods.
Forklift certification a plus.
Familiarity with RMA/returns processing.
Schedule
Weekdays 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Occasional overtime as business needs require.
Compensation
$24—$26 USD
Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
