Role Description This full-time Bank Statement Credit Analyst role at Elanza Capital is a hybrid position based in Chennai, with some flexibility for work from home. The analyst will review and interpret customer bank statements to assess creditworthiness, identify income patterns, evaluate cash flows, and detect potential risks or irregularities. Day-to-day responsibilities include validating financial data, preparing concise credit assessment reports, recommending credit limits or decisions in line with company policies, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems. The role also involves collaborating with sales and underwriting teams, adhering to regulatory and compliance standards, and contributing to process improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of credit evaluation.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret bank statements, identify trends, and assess financial stability.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data validation, documentation, and report preparation.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and financial tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM or loan management systems).
Solid understanding of credit risk principles, lending practices, and regulatory or compliance requirements.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to explain credit findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
Ability to work in a hybrid model from Chennai, manage time effectively, and handle multiple cases with deadlines.
Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
Prior experience in credit analysis, retail lending, NBFCs, or banking operations is an advantage but not mandatory.
