Role Description The Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The person in this position will design, review, and implement electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and safety systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing electrical drawings and specifications, performing load calculations, coordinating with civil and mechanical teams, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards. The role also involves overseeing installation activities, inspecting work at site, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting project managers with technical inputs and documentation. The Electrical Engineer will interact with contractors, vendors, and clients to clarify requirements, address technical queries, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals, with the ability to apply core concepts to construction projects.
Candidates should possess experience in Electrical Design, including preparation of drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Power Distribution, including panel scheduling, cable sizing, and protective devices.
Candidates should possess understanding of Power Systems, including load flow, short-circuit considerations, and system reliability.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, IS standards).
Proficiency with CAD tools and electrical design software, and ability to interpret construction and MEP drawings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality in documentation.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary project teams and site personnel.
Previous experience in construction, infrastructure, or building services projects is preferred.
