Senior AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join our team. Our client is transforming its insurance technology landscape by moving from legacy systems to next-generation Agentic AI-powered solutions. Responsibilities
Identify high-impact opportunities for AI adoption across Insurance Broking operations
Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions that automate complex insurance workflows
Build AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, document processing, information extraction, classification, and agent-based architectures
Collaborate directly with brokers, underwriters, and operations teams to understand business challenges and deliver scalable AI solutions
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Develop robust AI evaluation frameworks, including testing, monitoring, performance measurement, and hallucination detection
Drive rapid experimentation and innovation using modern AI development practices
Improve operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and increase business productivity through automation
Mentor engineers and promote best practices for building reliable AI systems
Research and apply emerging AI technologies to solve insurance industry challenges
Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Software Engineering, AI/ML, Machine Learning, or related domains
Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript
Experience building and delivering AI-powered products from concept to production
Hands-on experience with machine learning models and Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD and containerization
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders
Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
Familiarity with (Re)Insurance Underwriting Operations to better understand and support industry-specific workflows
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with a focus on security, to support safe and consistent environment provisioning
Background in the Insurance industry to bring domain context to AI solution design
Experience with Monitoring and Observability tools to track system health and performance in production
Technical Leadership experience to guide teams and influence engineering direction
