Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Agency Manager role based in Yavatmal. The Agency Manager is responsible for building, leading, and motivating a team of insurance agents to achieve sales and productivity targets for health insurance products. Day-to-day activities include recruiting and onboarding new agents, providing regular training and performance coaching, and monitoring key metrics such as policy sales, renewals, and customer retention. The role involves driving local market development through customer outreach, relationship management with partners, and participation in promotional and lead generation activities. The Agency Manager also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, prepares periodic business reports, and collaborates with regional leadership to implement sales strategies and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Strong sales and business development capabilities, including experience in target-driven roles, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Team leadership and people management skills, with a track record of recruiting, training, and coaching field sales teams or agency networks.
Customer relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to explain health insurance products clearly and handle customer queries and concerns.
Planning, analytical, and reporting skills to track performance, interpret data, and develop action plans for growth and improvement.
Knowledge of health insurance or broader insurance concepts, regulatory norms, and local market dynamics in or around Yavatmal.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance or sales management are an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Yavatmal, with willingness to travel locally for agent visits, customer meetings, and partner engagements.
Proficiency in MS Office tools and basic digital platforms used for sales tracking, reporting, and communication.
