AI Creative filmmaking/Director Intern – MicroDrama

Introspect Labs is an AI-native media technology startup building new entertainment experiences using Generative AI.
Our core technology, PersonaMatrix, focuses on Character & Story Intelligence for MicroDrama and short-form entertainment. It helps understand characters, relationships, story context and continuity, while enabling new experiences around discovery, interaction, content creation and monetization.
We are currently developing a consumer-focused AI MicroDrama platform where creators can explore characters, develop story ideas, create short scripts, generate preview videos using AI and submit concepts that can potentially evolve into complete MicroDrama series.
Our vision is to explore how AI can make storytelling and short-form video creation more accessible, interactive and character-driven.
Role Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic AI Creative Product Intern – MicroDrama & Generative AI who is interested in storytelling, short-form video and emerging Generative AI technologies.
This role is suitable for a student or recent graduate who enjoys experimenting with ideas and wants hands-on exposure to building an early-stage AI entertainment product.
You do not need previous professional product management or filmmaking experience.
You will work closely with the founder, designers, developers and AI team to experiment with creative ideas and help improve the MicroDrama product experience.
The internship will involve areas such as:
Exploring creative ideas for MicroDrama stories, characters and short-form series.
Creating simple story concepts, character profiles, scenes and dialogue.
Experimenting with Generative AI tools for video, images, voice, music and storytelling.
Writing and improving prompts for AI-generated videos and creative content.
Reviewing AI-generated videos and providing feedback on storytelling, character appearance, continuity, emotion and overall quality.
Helping explore how a creator can move through a journey such as:
Idea → Character → Story → Scene → AI Preview Video → Submission
Suggesting ideas to make the application easier and more engaging for creators.
Exploring how characters can be discovered, reused and extended across different stories.
Brainstorming new experiences around AI characters, interactive stories, creator tools and MicroDrama.
Reviewing early product screens and prototypes and sharing a creator's or viewer's perspective.
Researching interesting MicroDrama platforms, AI filmmaking tools and creator applications.
Testing new AI tools and documenting what works well and what does not.
Working with the team to convert promising creative ideas into simple product concepts and prototypes.
The intern will be encouraged to experiment, question existing ideas and propose new approaches rather than simply execute predefined tasks.
Qualifications :
We are primarily looking for creative ability, curiosity and willingness to experiment rather than extensive professional experience.
You may be a good fit if you have:
Strong interest in storytelling, films, series, MicroDrama, short-form video or digital content.
Ability to come up with interesting characters, situations, stories or creative concepts.
Basic writing ability and interest in writing short scenes, dialogue or story ideas.
Curiosity about Generative AI and AI-assisted content creation.
Experience experimenting with tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, Kling, Veo, Seedance, ElevenLabs or similar tools is helpful, but not mandatory.
Interest in learning how AI-generated video and storytelling systems work.
Ability to observe AI-generated content and identify what feels good, confusing, unrealistic or inconsistent.
Willingness to learn through experimentation and rapidly improve ideas based on feedback.
Good communication skills and comfort sharing ideas with a small team.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Students or recent graduates from areas such as Film, Media, Animation, Visual Communication, Design, Mass Communication, Creative Technology, Computer Science, AI or related fields are welcome to apply..
