2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Network Engineer will lead the design, integration, and implementation of enterprise networking solutions essential to modernizing private cloud infrastructures within a software-defined data center. This role is critical for delivering secure and automated network services, collaborating with multiple technical teams, and supporting international deployments, thereby directly contributing to advancing mission-critical cloud capabilities.
3. Responsibilities:
Lead design and hands-on implementation of enterprise network solutions for private cloud modernization.
Design and deploy automated Layer 2/Layer 3 network architectures supporting VMware-based environments.
Develop and integrate Software-Defined Networking solutions using Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and related technologies.
Architect secure networks supporting core enterprise services including ECS, CPS, IaaS, DevOps platforms, and SMC.
Collaborate with infrastructure, virtualization, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams for network integration.
Create network automation solutions using Infrastructure as Code, Ansible, Python, Terraform, or similar.
Integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf networking products into secure enterprise environments.
Maintain network architecture documents, engineering designs, implementation plans, and technical procedures.
Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and cross-functional collaboration.
Mentor engineers and provide guidance on networking standards, automation, and secure designs.
Travel to NATO locations to support solution deployment, integration, testing, and customer acceptance.
Support infrastructure modernization planning and proposal development.
4. Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field with 8–12 years’ experience, or Master’s degree with 6–10 years’ experience.
Active NATO Secret clearance or higher.
Proven expertise in enterprise routing, switching, and Software-Defined Networking.
Strong experience with Cisco enterprise technologies including Cisco ACI.
Experience with VMware NSX or equivalent network virtualization.
Skilled in designing enterprise networks for private or hybrid cloud environments.
Extensive network automation experience using Infrastructure as Code tools.
Deep understanding of enterprise networking protocols, network segmentation, and IP services.
Knowledge of secure network architectures, Zero Trust principles, and cybersecurity practices.
Experience working within Agile, SAFe, or DevSecOps frameworks.
Strong leadership, communication, and technical collaboration skills.
Background supporting defense, government, or regulated environments.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00
