Production Merchandiser

Lubana Exim Private Limited is an export house specialising in high-end, intricately crafted garments, including heavily beaded and embellished apparel. We are looking for a Production Merchant who can take ownership of the overall production flow and ensure that the entire factory works as one coordinated system.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the complete production flow from cutting through finishing, ensuring smooth movement of production across all departments.
Coordinate closely with cutting, embroidery, beading, stitching, finishing, pressing, packing and other relevant departments.
Ensure that no downstream process becomes a bottleneck or restricts an upstream process.
Identify potential delays, capacity constraints and production bottlenecks well in advance and take corrective action.
Maintain production plans and continuously align them with actual shop-floor progress.
Follow up rigorously on production commitments, priorities and delivery timelines.
Coordinate between departments when priorities or production schedules change.
Ensure that work is released to each department at the right time, in the right quantity and with the required inputs.
Track WIP and ensure that production does not accumulate unnecessarily at any particular stage.
Work closely with the Pre-Production Merchant, Dyeing Coordinator, Store and Production teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
Escalate issues quickly and drive them to resolution rather than simply reporting them.
Maintain clear production tracking and provide regular updates on progress, delays and expected completion.
Support sampling and urgent production requirements when required.
Candidate Profile
Experience in garment manufacturing/export houses, preferably in high-end, embellished, beaded or intricate garments.
Strong understanding of garment production processes and inter-departmental dependencies.
Excellent coordination and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple styles, orders and priorities simultaneously.
Must be quick on their feet, proactive and comfortable making decisions under pressure.
Strong problem-solving ability and a hands-on approach.
Should be able to anticipate issues rather than waiting for problems to occur.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams.
Strong sense of urgency and ownership.
Good knowledge of Excel and production tracking systems.

Someone who can look at the factory holistically, understand what is happening across departments, and continuously keep production moving. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and does not hesitate to chase, coordinate and solve problems.
