About the role
Stockton Mortgage is seeking a Market Production Support Manager to support its Sales and Production Teams within an assigned market. The Market Production Support Manager serves as a trusted mortgage resource and strategic partner to Mortgage Loan Originators, Branch Managers, and production teams by providing hands-on support with loan structuring, product and guideline expertise, complex scenarios, problem-solving, and pipeline support.
The Market Production Support Manager will help identify potential challenges early, develop solutions, and work collaboratively with Sales, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and other internal teams to keep loans moving efficiently from application through closing. This position is designed to support and enable production rather than function as a traditional individual production role, with success measured by improving loan quality, efficiency, pull-through, and the overall effectiveness of the market's production team.
Essential Duties
· Serve as a primary mortgage resource for Mortgage Loan Originators, Branch Managers, and production teams within the assigned market
· Review complex loan scenarios and provide guidance regarding loan structure, product eligibility, guidelines, documentation, and potential solutions
· Provide guidance across conventional/conforming, FHA, VA, Non-QM, and other applicable mortgage products
· Support pre-qualification and pre-approval scenarios when additional mortgage expertise is needed
· Identify potential loan issues early and work with production and operations teams to develop practical solutions
· Partner with Sales, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and other internal teams to troubleshoot issues and keep loans moving efficiently
· Help Mortgage Loan Originators identify alternative products or structuring options when an initial scenario does not meet program requirements
· Provide coaching, training, and guidance to MLOs and branch personnel regarding products, guidelines, processes, and best practices
· Stay current on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, FHA, VA, investor, regulatory, and Company requirements and communicate relevant changes to production teams
· Participate in pipeline reviews and identify opportunities to improve loan quality, efficiency, and pull-through
· Partner with Branch Managers and Market Leadership to identify production challenges and implement practical solutions
· Support the onboarding and development of new Mortgage Loan Originators and branch personnel
· Promote consistent mortgage processes and strong collaboration between Sales and Operations
· Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and Company policies and procedures
· Perform such other duties as assigned by Market or Sales Leadership
· Become familiarized with all Company Operations, Sales, and Compliance policies and procedures applicable to the role
Who YOU are
· 3–5+ years' experience in residential mortgage lending, preferably in production, processing, underwriting, or a related mortgage role
· Strong working knowledge of the residential mortgage origination process from application through closing
· Strong knowledge of conventional/conforming, FHA, VA, Non-QM, and other applicable mortgage products
· Strong working knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, FHA, VA, investor, and applicable regulatory guidelines
· Demonstrated ability to analyze complex loan scenarios and effectively structure loans within applicable guidelines
· Strong understanding of income, assets, credit, property, occupancy, and documentation requirements
· Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills
· Ability to explain complex mortgage concepts and guidelines in a clear, practical manner
· Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment
· Ability to build credibility and strong working relationships with Mortgage Loan Originators, Branch Managers, and Operations teams
