Role Description The AWS DevOps Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in an on-site, full-time role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Daily tasks include configuring and maintaining AWS services, implementing CI/CD workflows, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and security of applications and environments. The role involves automating infrastructure provisioning, managing backups and disaster recovery plans, and collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline releases. The AWS DevOps Administrator will also troubleshoot environment issues, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement of deployment processes and cloud architecture.
Qualifications
Strong experience administering AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC) and managing cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency with DevOps tools for CI/CD and automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Git, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration, shell scripting, and server monitoring practices.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS/EKS) for application deployment.
Experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM policies, encryption, and network security.
Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document infrastructure and processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent are a plus.
Prior experience in a similar DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or System Administrator role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
