Role Description The Cloud Data Infrastructure Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data platforms that support analytics and business intelligence. Day-to-day work includes implementing scalable data pipelines, optimizing Extract Transform Load (ETL) workflows, and managing data warehousing solutions to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance access to data. The role involves collaborating with data analysts, engineers, and product stakeholders to define data requirements, model datasets, and ensure consistent data quality across environments. The developer will monitor data infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, implement automation for deployment and monitoring, and follow best practices for security, governance, and compliance in cloud data ecosystems.
Qualifications
Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources.
Proficiency in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to design efficient schemas and support robust reporting and analytics.
Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including performance tuning and error handling.
Ability to work with Data Analytics teams, understand reporting needs, and enable self-service and advanced analytics on cloud platforms.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and related data services.
Knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java).
Familiarity with data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards relevant to cloud data environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
