Role Description This full-time remote Azure Data Engineer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure. The Azure Data Engineer will develop and optimize data pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and implement robust ETL processes to support analytics and reporting. Responsibilities include modeling and organizing data for Azure-based data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring data quality, security, and performance. The role also involves collaborating with data analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and support self-service analytics. The Azure Data Engineer will monitor data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve data architecture and processes in line with best practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Data Engineering skills, including experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks) and building scalable data pipelines.
Candidates should possess Data Modeling skills, including designing schemas, dimensional models, and data structures optimized for analytics and reporting.
Candidates should possess Extract Transform Load (ETL) skills, including developing, scheduling, and monitoring ETL processes and integrating data from diverse sources.
Candidates should possess Data Warehousing skills, including implementing and maintaining modern data warehouses or data lakes on cloud platforms.
Candidates should possess Data Analytics skills, including supporting BI tools, enabling self-service reporting, and working with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
Experience with SQL, Python or another scripting language, and version control tools is beneficial.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices, especially in cloud environments, is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
