About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced F5 AVI Load Balancer Design Engineer to join a large-scale infrastructure modernization program supporting enterprise application delivery services across global environments.
This role will be responsible for designing, engineering, and optimizing application delivery infrastructure while supporting a strategic migration from a legacy VMware AVI Load Balancing platform to F5 technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, security, and business teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design and architect enterprise application delivery and load balancing solutions using F5 and AVI technologies.
Manage the complete lifecycle of application delivery infrastructure including design, deployment, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, and operational runbooks.
Design secure solutions involving SSL offloading, DNS services, traffic optimization, persistence methods, and application security controls.
Support migration initiatives from VMware AVI to F5 load balancing platforms.
Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance activities prior to production deployment.
Troubleshoot complex load balancing, network, DNS, SSL/TLS, and application delivery issues.
Collaborate with global engineering, operations, and infrastructure teams.
Drive lifecycle management programs including upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and end-of-life replacement projects.
Implement automation and operational improvements through APIs, Ansible, Python, and scripting.
Ensure compliance, security standards, and governance requirements are incorporated into all designs.
Provide technical documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Network Engineering with strong focus on Application Delivery and Load Balancing.
3+ years of hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancing solutions.
Expertise with:
F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager)
F5 GTM/DNS
F5 APM
F5 ASM
Experience with VMware AVI (NSX Advanced Load Balancer).
Strong understanding of:
TCP/IP
DNS
HTTPS
SSL/TLS
BGP
Experience with application switching, traffic management, persistence, and optimization.
Experience with SSL offloading, certificate lifecycle management, and PKI.
Experience using F5 iControl APIs for automation and integrations.
Proven experience designing highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills within large enterprise environments.
Experience creating technical documentation and solution designs.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting infrastructure refresh and lifecycle management programs.
Preferred Qualifications
F5 Certified (201, 301) or equivalent practical experience.
CCNP or CCIE certification.
