Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and
AI-driven insights initiatives within our healthcare data platform. The ideal candidate will work with Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and Diabetes-related clinical data sourced from Epic EHR systems and integrated into Snowflake. This role will focus on transforming healthcare data into actionable clinical insights, developing predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions, and supporting AI-enabled decision-making for clinicians, care managers, and healthcare stakeholders
The candidate will play a critical role in the end-to-end analytics lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering to machine learning model development and AI-powered clinical intelligence. Additional value will be provided by experience collaborating with architects and platform teams on AWS-based AI/ML ecosystems, AIOps, and AI Agent workflows
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Data Science & Analytics
Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets, including:
Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) data
Diabetes care management data
Patient outcomes and longitudinal clinical records
Electronic Health Record (EHR) data from Epic
Perform comprehensive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify:
Glucose variability patterns
Diabetes progression indicators
Medication adherence insights
Risk stratification opportunities
Clinical intervention recommendations
Generate actionable clinical insights and collaborate with clinicians, healthcare analysts, and business stakeholders to improve patient outcomes.
AI & Machine Learning
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for:
Predictive risk scoring
Diabetes outcome prediction
Readmission risk analysis
Anomaly detection in CGM data
Patient segmentation and personalization
Support the development of AI-powered decision-support systems that enable data-driven clinical and operational decision making.
Evaluate and implement Generative AI, LLM, and Agentic AI use cases within healthcare analytics workflows
Data Engineering Collaboration
Work closely with Data Engineering teams to consume and optimize data pipelines from:
Epic EMR/Snowflake
Healthcare APIs and HL7/FHIR datasets
Snowflake data platform
Define feature stores, analytical datasets, and data quality frameworks
Ensure healthcare data governance, HIPAA compliance, and responsible AI practices
Required Qualifications
Education
Master's or PhD in (nice to have)
Data Science, Statistics
Computer Science, Bioinformatics
Healthcare Analytics
Related quantitative discipline
Experience
8+ years of experience in Data Science and Advanced Analytics
3+ years working with healthcare, payer, provider, or life sciences data
Nice to have the experience working with EHR/EMR platforms, preferably Epic
