Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Azamgarh. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures according to project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and cutting materials, assembling frameworks, performing finish carpentry work, and using hand and power tools safely and efficiently. The role involves working closely with site supervisors and other trades to ensure that interior fit-outs are completed accurately, on schedule, and in line with quality standards. The Carpenter will also maintain tools and equipment, follow safety procedures, and help keep the work area organized.
Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills with experience in structural work and framing.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring devices.
Ability to operate power tools safely, including drills, power saws, and sanders.
Experience in finish carpentry, including fitting doors, windows, cabinets, and trim.
Knowledge of basic construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret drawings or simple technical plans.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and working in various site conditions.
Previous experience in interior contracting or construction projects is preferred.
