The client is seeking a Supervisor, Patient Access Applications & Digital Experience to provide both technical leadership and people leadership for its Epic Patient Access application team.
This individual will oversee analysts supporting scheduling, registration, referrals, eligibility, and digital patient engagement technologies while partnering closely with operational, clinical, and revenue cycle leaders to improve access, patient experience, and workflow efficiency.
This is not a traditional manager role. The client needs a highly technical Epic professional who can serve as the team's subject matter expert while mentoring and developing analysts. The ideal candidate will be someone who has excelled as a Senior Analyst or Lead Analyst and is ready to step into formal leadership.
Required Skills
Strong experience supporting Epic Cadence, Referrals, and Real-Time Eligibility (RTE)
Must possess at least one active Epic certification
Deep understanding of scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorizations, referral management, and patient access workflows
Experience supporting MyChart and digital patient engagement technologies
Ability to act as the technical leader and subject matter expert for the Patient Access team
Experience leading projects, mentoring analysts, serving as a Lead Analyst, or influencing team direction
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with operational, clinical, and revenue cycle leadership
Experience with system optimization, upgrades, integrated testing, implementations, release management, and application support
Ability to translate operational requirements into scalable Epic solutions
Proven track record of driving workflow improvements and process optimization

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead support, optimization, and enhancement efforts across Epic Patient Access applications
Serve as the technical escalation point and subject matter expert for the team
Mentor, coach, and develop Epic analysts while managing priorities, workload, and application backlog
Act as a hands-on contributor when necessary, jumping into build, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts
Partner with operational, clinical, and revenue cycle teams to improve workflows and patient access initiatives
Coordinate upgrades, integrated testing, release management, and deployment activities
Establish best practices, governance standards, and documentation processes
Monitor system performance, enhancement progress, and operational metrics
Provide recommendations and reporting to leadership regarding opportunities for optimization and improvement
