We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products, including our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API and quick, easy, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. We leverage technology to deliver these services through our website, mobile app and by phone. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.
About This Role
This is a newly created role. Xe is building out a dedicated organic growth function to grow visibility across traditional search and AI-generated answers on platforms like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot.
You'll own the strategy and prioritization across technical SEO, content, off-site, and AI visibility work, and direct the people who execute it: in-house developers and writers, plus an external SEO/AEO advisor. You'll also design, build, and operate an AI content production system that creates high-quality, search-ready, compliant content at scale for Xe, a regulated financial services brand that spans many markets and languages.
This role exists to give that work a single owner.

Roles & Responsibilities
Prioritize and drive the organic growth roadmap across technical SEO, content, off-site, and AI visibility work
Direct in-house developers and writers on execution: redirects, hreflang updates, schema markup, page templates, and content production
Own technical SEO for a multi-market site, including URL and locale structure, redirects, and hreflang
Own AI/answer-engine visibility: build out LLM-prompt tracking, close coverage gaps by platform, and develop the content and structured-data patterns that get Xe cited in AI-generated answers
Design, build, and operate Xe's AI content production system: an agentic pipeline that produces editorial and search-driven content (articles and other content as needed) with human editorial oversight. Own its architecture, evaluation and quality controls, tooling and model spend, and roadmap, including extension to localized content across Xe's markets
Build compliance into that system from the start: legal review workflows and auditability suitable for a regulated financial services brand. Partner with Legal and Compliance to set the standards for AI-assisted content at Xe
Build and maintain performance reporting that connects search and AI visibility to on-site engagement and business outcomes
Work with external partners and advisors as needed, and help scope future off-site or link-building support
Partner with product and engineering on technical SEO health: Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site architecture
Partner closely with Xe's affiliate, influencer, and partnership teams so organic and partner channels reinforce each other
Position Requirements
7+ years in organic growth, content, or search, including hands-on experience designing and operating production AI systems
Real ownership across technical, content, and off-site SEO, not just one lane, including directing technical SEO execution by developers
Hands-on experience adapting for AI-driven search: schema markup, entity and structured content, and getting cited in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Copilot
Experience building or running LLM-based content pipelines in production: orchestration, evaluation, verification, and human-in-the-loop review
Experience leading large-scale site migrations and multi-market or multilingual SEO (hreflang, locale folders)
Comfortable in Google Search Console, SEMrush or Ahrefs, a web analytics platform, and AEO/LLM visibility tools such as Profound, Brandlight, Otterly.AI, or SEMrush AI Visibility
A track record of tying organic performance to a business metric, not just traffic, for example signups, transactions, or revenue
Experience producing content under formal legal or compliance review
Comfortable directing work done by other people (writers, developers, agencies, freelancers) rather than being the only executor
Nice to have
Financial services, fintech, or another regulated industry background
Legal, compliance, or regulated-content background is a strong plus
Experience managing freelance or agency relationships for a specific SEO pillar
Experience working alongside affiliate or influencer programs
