Skills and Competencies
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the commercial real estate sector
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess commercial mortgage backed securities transactions, property cash flows, and credit risk
Experience developing and substantiating credit opinions through detailed financial and quantitative analysis
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques required for transaction analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while producing accurate and detailed work in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to rating committees and internal stakeholders
Ability to work collaboratively with team members while also operating independently with limited supervision
Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
Advanced professional certifications or graduate-level studies related to commercial real estate, finance, or investments are preferred
Responsibilities
Lead the analysis and surveillance of commercial real estate securitizations to support high-quality credit assessments and research.
Analyze the credit aspects of commercial mortgage backed securities transactions, including property cash flows and transaction performance
Develop and maintain deal-level financial models to support rating surveillance and credit analysis
Formulate, document, and substantiate credit opinions based on quantitative and qualitative assessments
Serve as the lead ratings analyst for assigned transactions and present recommendations to rating committees
Communicate analytical conclusions and transaction updates during internal meetings and stakeholder discussions
Prepare accurate, insightful, and timely research publications and press releases
Conduct special research projects and contribute thought leadership initiatives that enhance analytics and market insights
Support rating analysis of commercial real estate collateralized loan obligation transactions, including transitional floating-rate commercial real estate loans
About the Team
Our Commercial Real Estate Finance team is responsible for monitoring and evaluating credit risk across commercial mortgage-backed securities and related structured finance products. The team combines deep market expertise, rigorous analytics, and independent credit judgment to provide investors with transparent and insightful ratings and research. By joining this team, you will contribute to impactful work within the commercial real estate sector while collaborating with experienced professionals who leverage innovative analytical tools, data-driven approaches, and responsible AI practices to enhance efficiency, research quality, and market leadership.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[salaryMin]] - [[cust_Range75]], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
