Senior Software Engineer (Clojure)

Required for this role
Senior level experience in backend engineering and building production software systems.
Hands on production experience with Clojure.
Strong understanding of functional programming principles and their practical application in production environments.
Experience designing and building backend services with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Solid knowledge of backend system design and software architecture fundamentals.
Experience working with complementary technologies used in the existing engineering ecosystem
Ability to write clean, well structured, and thoroughly tested code.
Experience participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical problem solving activities.
Good English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
Your responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Clojure.
Collaborate with engineers on technical design decisions, implementation approaches, and solution architecture.
Write reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code that supports long-term product evolution.
Contribute to the ongoing development of a financial technology solution focused on home equity lending.
Participate in code reviews and help maintain code quality and engineering standards.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across backend services.
Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen system reliability and development practices.
Work closely with a distributed engineering team to deliver new functionality and product enhancements.
