About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Required for this role
Proven experience as a QA Engineer working with web and/or mobile software products and following a structured, process-driven approach to release quality.
Working knowledge of trading markets and financial instruments, including equities, futures, and leveraged asset classes.
Understanding of trading-product behavior, trader-facing failure modes, and the importance of accuracy and timing in live trading environments.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated end-to-end test suites using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of the full QA lifecycle, including test planning, regression execution, bug management, environment ownership, and release sign-off.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into build and release workflows.
Experience using Jira or a similar tool for bug tracking and release management.
Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear bug reports, reproduction steps, and release sign-off documentation.
A reliable and thorough approach, with the ability to work autonomously, collaborate with a team, and treat the QA gate as a genuine responsibility.
Your responsibilities
Own the QA gate for every release, validate defined acceptance criteria, and provide release sign-off before changes reach production.
Build trading-domain knowledge into test coverage, including realistic user behavior, risk scenarios, failure modes, and edge cases across supported asset classes.
Execute end-to-end regression for release tickets and run production smoke tests after every deployment to confirm that critical paths remain intact.
Own the staging environment, keeping it stable and predictable while supporting product managers with UAT, test data, environment questions, and issue reproduction.
Build, maintain, and extend automated regression coverage for account creation, trading flows, payouts, and authentication.
Integrate regression suites into CI pipelines, own E2E coverage, and partner with developers on integration, API, unit, and testability considerations.
File, triage, and prioritize bugs in Jira, documenting clear reproduction steps and environment details while escalating release-blocking issues.
Maintain test plans, test cases, regression checklists, recurring issue records, environment notes, and common failure patterns as the authoritative QA reference.
Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve coverage and speed, while applying additional scrutiny to AI-assisted code changes, claimed test coverage, edge cases, and required audit tagging.
