RiNVENT Centre of Excellence Pvt Ltd (RiCoE) is the R&D and adaptation-engineering arm of the RiNVENT group, a DPIIT-eligible, MSME-registered startup based in Hyderabad. Together with its manufacturing entity, RiNVENT Industries Pvt Ltd (est. 2015), RiCoE builds indigenous products for power-distribution utilities (DISCOMs): SCADA/DMS and LDMS software, industrial cellular routers, MPLS-VPN edge routers, data concentrator units (DCU), digital transformer monitoring units and communication gateways.
RiCoE works across three R&D pillars: Trust, Identity & Security; Next-Gen Grid Intelligence; and Learning Science & Accelerated Pedagogy. Freshers who join us work on live utility projects from day one, under close mentorship from engineers with over two decades of SCADA and grid-automation delivery experience.
Role Overview
As a Fresher Assistant – Systems & Software, you will support the engineering team in developing, testing, configuring and commissioning our software and embedded/networking products for utility substation automation and control-centre projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining Windows desktop and service applications (C#/.NET) for SCADA, LDMS and gateway products
Write and test SQL queries, stored procedures and database scripts for utility data applications
Support configuration and testing of industrial routers, RTUs/DCUs and communication links (Ethernet, cellular/APN, VPN, MPLS)
Help with protocol-level testing and integration (IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, IEC 61850) using simulators and field devices
Build, package and version software releases; maintain build and installation documentation
Prepare test reports, user manuals, GTP/technical data sheets and commissioning checklists
Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site commissioning at substations and control centres, including field travel within Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as needed
Troubleshoot system, network and application issues and escalate with clear logs and findings
Eligibility
B.Tech/B.E. in CSE, ECE or EEE; MCA; or B.Sc (Computer Science / MPCS)
Year of passing: [2025 / 2026]
Minimum [60%] aggregate with no active backlogs
Required Skills
Programming fundamentals in at least one of C#, C/C++ or Java
Basics of SQL and relational databases
Computer networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, routing, TCP/UDP
Comfort with Windows and Linux command line
Clear written and spoken English; disciplined documentation habits
Willingness to learn power-system and utility-automation domain knowledge
Good to Have
Exposure to Windows or Linux
Basic understanding of power systems, substations or SCADA concepts (especially for EEE/ECE candidates)
Academic or personal projects in networking, IoT, embedded systems or database applications
