🔹 Job Description
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Encore IT, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and continuously improving secure, scalable, and highly reliable infrastructure and deployment environments. You will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, security teams, and technical leadership to build and operate production-grade systems across cloud and hybrid environments. The role requires strong hands-on engineering capability, architectural thinking, automation mindset, and the ability to independently own complex infrastructure and operational challenges from development through production.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and production environments.
- Build and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for software, data, and AI/ML workloads.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
- Design and operate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and production health management.
- Establish and improve system reliability, availability, scalability, and disaster-recovery practices.
- Implement DevSecOps practices and integrate security controls throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Manage cloud resources, access controls, networking, secrets, policies, and infrastructure security.
- Diagnose complex production incidents and conduct root-cause analysis with appropriate remediation.
- Optimize infrastructure performance and cloud expenditure through effective resource management and FinOps practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application architecture, deployment strategies, and operational readiness.
- Establish engineering standards, documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices.
- Contribute to architecture decisions for enterprise applications, AI/ML platforms, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of Encore IT’s engineering practices.
🔹 Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong practical experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
- Proven experience managing AWS, GCP, Azure, or equivalent cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking, security, and distributed systems.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
- Strong hands-on experience with containers and orchestration technologies.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, secrets management, and secure deployment practices.
- Experience with production monitoring, observability, incident response, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to work independently on complex technical problems and communicate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
