Role Description The PI Pre Litigation Assistant is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting attorneys in personal injury matters before formal litigation is filed. This role includes organizing and maintaining case files, communicating with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters, and tracking key deadlines and case milestones. The assistant will gather and review medical records, bills, and accident-related documentation, and help prepare demand packages and pre-litigation settlement materials. Daily tasks also include drafting and formatting correspondence, summarizing records, entering data into case management systems, and assisting with initial claim intake and follow-up. The role requires consistent, professional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple pre-litigation files in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting correspondence, demand letters, and basic case summaries.
Candidates should possess skills in Document Review, including analyzing medical records, bills, and insurance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Candidates should possess skills in Legal Research related to personal injury claims, including statutes, regulations, and insurance policy provisions.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Pleadings and Motions sufficient to assist attorneys with preliminary information gathering and file organization.
Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a remote environment.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centered approach and attention to confidentiality.
Proficiency with legal case management software, Microsoft Office or similar tools, and secure data handling practices.
Prior experience in personal injury, insurance claims, or a law firm setting is preferred; a paralegal certificate or relevant undergraduate degree is beneficial.
Must be fully bilingual.
