Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Personal Injury Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant will support attorneys with case management, legal document preparation, and ensuring timely filings. Responsibilities include maintaining client communication, managing schedules, assisting in gathering case-related documents and records, and providing exceptional administrative support. Additional tasks will involve coordinating with clients, legal professionals, and external parties to ensure the efficient progression of cases.
Ensure clients begin medical treatment promptly post-intake
Monitor ongoing treatment and prevent gaps
Move cases efficiently toward MMI and demand readiness
Identify all medical providers early and completely
Order, track, follow up, and obtain all medical records and bills
Ensure imaging reports, permanency certifications, and narratives are secured when required
Maintain clean, organized, demand-ready files
Maintain consistent, professional client contact
Educate clients on treatment importance, case process, and expectations
Respond promptly to inquiries and concerns
Reduce client frustration, complaints, and attrition
Identify Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and private liens early
Track lien status throughout the case lifecycle
Initiate lien verification promptly post-settlement
Prevent lien-related settlement delays
Qualifications
2+ years of Personal Injury case management or legal support experience
Strong understanding of medical treatment workflows and records
Experience with liens (Medicare/Medicaid preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills in both English and Spanish
Proficiency with case management software and document systems
Proficiency in Law-related tasks, including understanding legal terminology and processes
Experience in Legal Document Preparation and maintaining case files
Strong Communication skills for client interaction and professional correspondence
Expertise in Administrative Assistance and organizational tasks
Background in Legal Assistant responsibilities, including scheduling and managing deadlines
High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Proficiency with legal research tools and office software
Previous experience in personal injury law is advantageous

DOE: $1,200 - $1,400 USD/Month
