Remote Senior SQL Data Business Analyst (Sales)

Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in need of a Remote Senior SQL Data Business Analyst (Sales). Responsibilities:
Analyze complex datasets across enterprise applications, databases, and cloud-based data platforms
Partner with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions
Use SQL to query, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data across multiple source systems
Define data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, metadata, lineage, and technical requirements
Support ETL/data pipeline initiatives and the movement of structured and unstructured data into enterprise data environments
Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend technical improvements
Maintain data definitions, master/reference data, and documentation supporting enterprise data architecture
Validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical outputs for accuracy and consistency
Identify opportunities to automate data processes and improve scalability, reliability, and performance
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, analysts, product teams, and senior stakeholders on data initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative/technical discipline preferred
5+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering support, business intelligence, or a related technical data role, including senior-level experience
Strong SQL skills with experience querying, analyzing, and validating data in relational database environments
Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, DB2, or comparable database/data warehouse technologies
Experience with data quality, data validation, metadata, lineage, master data, and data governance practices
Experience documenting technical requirements, data structures, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
Experience working within Agile/SDLC environments and tools such as Jira or Confluence
Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, integrations, data mapping, and transformation logic
Familiarity with BI/reporting tools and validating dashboards and KPIs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently across technical and business teams
Ability to analyze multiple source systems and troubleshoot complex data issues through root cause analysis
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
