Fleet Outage Coordinator

EthosEnergy O&M is seeking a Major Maintenance Coordinator to lead and manage major maintenance activities across multiple units within a portfolio of five combined cycle plants. The portfolio consists of combustion turbine assets equipped with Siemens Energy V84.2 units and GE 7FA’s. This role is responsible for coordinating combustion turbine, steam turbine, and generator major maintenance outages while supporting long-term maintenance strategies, component lifecycle management, and asset reliability initiatives. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, OEMs, and sub-contractors, the Coordinator will provide project management leadership from planning and budgeting through outage execution and closeout. This role will require the candidate to be on-site for scheduled and unscheduled long-term maintenance for the turbines within the portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
Lead planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout of combustion turbine, steam turbine, and generator major maintenance outages, ensuring a high level of safety and quality throughout execution, while delivering the outage on schedule and budget.
Develop outage scopes, schedules, resource plans, logistics strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
Coordinate outage readiness reviews, risk assessments, and post-outage lessons learned.
Manage outage performance metrics including safety, quality, budgets, scope changes, emergent work, and schedule impacts.
Interface with OEMs, contractors, and service providers to resolve technical and commercial issues.
Develop and maintain fleet component tracking programs for critical turbine and generator components. Manage parts pedigree, serial number tracking, operating history, repair records, and technical documentation.
Track incoming and outgoing major components sent for repair, ensuring purchase orders are in place prior to shipment and monitoring repair status, turnaround, and return logistics with OEMs and repair vendors.
Monitor inspection results and component condition assessments to support real time repair, replacement, and lifecycle decisions.
Coordinate repair strategies for major turbine, generator, and auxiliary equipment components.
Support lifecycle maintenance planning, outage forecasting, and capital expenditure planning.
Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, regulatory standards, and quality management processes.
Partner with Engineering and Operations teams to identify reliability risks and improve equipment performance.
Support root cause analyses for equipment failures, forced outages, and recurring maintenance issues.
Provide technical guidance on turbine inspections, gas path maintenance, rotor life management, and major component repairs.
Build strong relationships with clients, OEMs, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and present outage updates, maintenance plans, performance metrics, and risk assessments to management and clients.
Support contract evaluations, vendor selection, bid reviews, and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Strong outage execution, safety leadership, and quality adherence experience.
Strong knowledge of combustion turbine, steam turbine, generator, and auxiliary system maintenance practices.
Experience planning and managing major maintenance outages and outage management programs.
Understanding of turbine lifecycle management, gas path maintenance, rotor life management, and component repair methodologies.
Knowledge of component traceability, quality assurance, maintenance documentation, and parts pedigree requirements.
Familiarity with asset reliability programs, outage forecasting, and lifecycle planning processes.
Experience tracking operating hours, starts, equivalent operating hours, and life-limited components.
Siemens V-Series combustion turbine experience preferred (V84.2).
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced outage environment.
Strong organizational, project management, and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to influence stakeholders, drive accountability, and manage competing priorities.
Ability to analyze maintenance, reliability, operational, and financial data.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Experience
Minimum 7 years of power generation experience, including at least 5 years supporting major maintenance outages, turbine maintenance programs, LTSA administration, or project/outage management.
Experience managing combustion turbine, steam turbine, and generator major maintenance activities.
Experience working with OEMs, contractors, third-party service providers, and plant operations personnel.
Experience with component tracking, lifecycle management, repair coordination, and outage execution preferred.
PMP certification or equivalent project management experience preferred.
Experience administering LTSA and LTP agreements preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will be considered.
